The Eastside Cartoons Studio was founded 2002 in Germany by the german musician and cartoonist Klaus Leven. The sense of East side cartoons is to teach kids in a century of more than 800 TV channels and countless video games the importance of music, literacy and creativity. Klaus Leven and other artists of East side cartoons try to inspire kids to turn off their TV and other electronics to start their own creative program.

In the last 15 years Klaus was working with the german comedian Dirk Bach and actor Ralf Moeller, Phil Yeh from CartoonistsAcross America&TheWorld',USA, dutch cartoonist Frans Mensink, George Gladir (creator of "Archie Comics"), Phil Ortiz ('The Simpsons'), and many many more. Please check out: artists&friends

In 2006 Klaus got honored for his work in the US by the US Congress and by the California State Assembly.
We are offering professional drum-lessons for beginners and advanced learners, in practical experience and theory, with notes and without.

   Comic 'Joey & Gonz' 01

In summer 2004 I printed my first comic book,
supported by Tin Foo, owner of the 'Peking'-Restaurant in Recklinghausen, and by the Martial Art School 'Chung' in Dortmund, Germany. It's a funny story about a kid named Joey and his friend, an alien named Gonz. You can see original buildings and places from my hometown Recklinghausen and the 'Ruhr'-area.

   Painting a lecture hall

September '04: Children emballished their shool.

In Sept.2004 we painted a huge cartoon mural on a wall in the lecture hall of the Elementary School 'Ruettenscheider Str.' in Essen, Germany. All the students loved to make their school nicer and more colorful with our help.
